Native Oak Trees
White Oak (Quercus alba) planted fall 2005.  Purchased from Rock River Valley Wild One's Tree and Shrub sale in a 5 gallon bucket.

Chinquapin Oak (Quercus muehlenbergii) planted fall 2006.  Purchased from Rock River Valley Wild One's Tree and Shrub sale in a 5 gallon bucket.

Very "stringy."  Crabapple (cultivar guessing, I did not plant) to right blocks afternoon sun.  Tree seems to have started to grow to the "left." due to this.  Additionally, is that unneeded ground growth?
